Parish Safety Officer

Through our policies and practices, we protect the right of children to feel safe and to be safe. We promote the well-being and inclusion of all children.
For more information, and any concern about the well-being of our children and vulnerable adults please contact the parish Child Safety Officer, Mel Slattery 0417 822 589.

The parish's Child Safety Policy establishes a commitment to protecting children from harm and abuse. It outlines the responsibilities of all staff and volunteers to create a safe environment, provides clear guidelines for behavior, and emphasizes the importance of vigilance and prompt reporting of any concerns or incidents.

This Code of Conduct sets forth appropriate behavior standards for adults interacting with children. Its purpose is to safeguard children and minimize the risk of abuse or harm. Additionally, it provides staff and volunteers with guidance on supporting children effectively and managing challenging situations. Compliance is mandatory for all staff and volunteers.

The child safety reporting process ensures that any concerns or incidents involving child safety are promptly reported to designated authorities.
